UMAP Platform · subsurfaceintelligence.com · Updated 14 October 2026
1. Who may use the platform
The platform is for people invited and approved by Utility Mapping. Employee accounts require company approval and assigned permissions. Client contacts may use the client portal only when separately invited. Access is personal and limited to the projects and functions assigned to you.
2. Protect your account
Use your own account, keep your password and recovery links private, and sign out on shared devices. Tell your administrator promptly if access appears wrong, a device is lost, or a message looks suspicious. Do not share an account or attempt to bypass role, project or file permissions.
3. Handle project material carefully
Enter information you are authorised to use. Check survey coordinates, observations, images and reports before relying on or sharing them. Only release reports through the intended review flow. Do not upload unrelated personal, confidential or unlawful material. Follow your organisation's field, quality and information security procedures.
4. Company records and changes
Projects, trial pits, uploaded evidence, reports and audit history are company records. Editing or removing your profile does not remove those records. The platform records relevant changes to support quality, security and accountability. A report should be treated as issued only when it has been formally released through the platform's process and any applicable company approval.
5. Client access
An invited client contact may view only the projects made available to their organisation. Client access does not grant a right to redistribute confidential files or to change company project records. Any agreed deliverables, warranties, liability and payment terms are governed by the relevant signed client agreement, where one exists.
6. Leaving or losing access
A member may remove their platform access and optional profile name from their profile, subject to the Super Admin safeguard. Management or a Super Admin can revoke team access. Company work and records remain with Utility Mapping. Access may also be suspended for security, role or employment reasons by authorised administrators.
7. Privacy and storage
Read the privacy notice for personal data, worker activity and rights, and the cookies and storage notice for information held on your device. These terms do not ask you to consent to employment data processing.
8. Changes and help
Utility Mapping may update platform features and these use rules. Material changes should be communicated to affected users before they apply. For access, report or security issues, contact your UMAP administrator or project lead. Formal operator and contact details must be added after business review.
