UMAP Platform · subsurfaceintelligence.com · Updated 14 October 2026
This notice covers the UMAP Platform at subsurfaceintelligence.com. The separate u-map.co.uk website has its own practices. “Browser storage” below includes cookies and local storage on your device.
What is stored on your device?
| Technology | Purpose and when used | Duration / control |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase authentication cookies | Maintain your sign-in session, refresh authentication and protect private routes. Set during account and sign-in flows. | Session persistence depends on the authentication configuration. Sign out to revoke the session; you can also clear site cookies. Exact cookie names may vary with the Supabase library. |
umap-appearance and umap-color-palette (local storage) | Remember the light/dark mode and palette you select. | Until you clear site data or use the button below. Without a saved choice, the platform follows your system mode and default palette. |
| Report recovery draft (local storage) | Helps recover unsaved report changes in the editor. May include report text and project information, so use a trusted device. | Until the editor clears or replaces it, you discard it, or you clear site data. Removing it can lose unsaved work. |
| Report work mode and survey column order (local storage) | Remember editor and import options you selected. | Until changed or site data is cleared. |
Your choices
Authentication storage is needed to use a private account. You can change appearance in App & appearance inside the workspace, or remove saved appearance choices here. Clearing all site data also removes local report recovery drafts and may sign you out.
For stored drafts and editor choices, use the editor's discard controls or your browser's site-data settings. If you use a shared device, sign out and clear local drafts when finished.
Workspace activity is separate
Signed-in workspace activity is recorded on company systems, rather than by a tracking cookie. The platform records approximate foreground usage, the workspace viewed, and daily totals. Management can see presence and totals. Hidden or idle tabs stop continuous counting; daily activity records are retained for up to 90 days. See the privacy notice.
Changes
We will update this inventory before adding new device storage or tracking. Non-exempt storage will require an appropriate choice before it is used.
